Lanvin ♥ H&M Tease!!

If these photos do not get you excited for the Lanvin Hearts H&M collaboration I do not know what will.  This collection is to die for!!  David Sims did such an amazing job capturing the elegance and style of this collection through this campaign.  Many pieces draw inspiration directly from Lanvin's ready-to-wear collection.  Lanvin Hearts H&M will include everything from outerwear, mens-wear, ladies-wear, shoes, sunglasses, and jewelry with each piece looking better than the last.  Mark your calendars now for the November 20th debut!!

Obsession of the Week: Ugg Australia & Jimmy Choo Collection

Ugg Australia & Jimmy Choo Limited Edition Collection

A lot of buzz has been going around since the announcement of this somewhat unlikely collaboration between Jimmy Choo and Ugg Australia.  Pre-orders have already been placed and today is the day this collection is released to the stores!

I have to admit that it did take me a long time to develop a liking toward the famous Ugg boot.  The shapeless design and lack of anything "special" turned me away from Uggs at first.  However, then I actually decided to just try a pair on.  It was like stepping into a warm, comfy cloud...I fell in love!  After many cold winters in New York, I have to say I would be lost without my beloved pairs of Ugg boots. 

Being the shoe obsessed woman that I am, I could not wait to see how the fabulous Jimmy Choo would transform my beloved Uggs.  Jimmy Choo and Ugg Australia could not be anymore opposite when it comes to footwear, but together they made it work fabulously!  The shape of the boots are still true Ugg Australia designs, however Jimmy Choo adds his edgy and sexy touch to each boot in this collaboration.  The studded embellishments, fringe, and animal prints are anything but boring and are perfect for the winter season.

I am patiently waiting to get to Saks and pick out my pair!  Now the only problem is...how do I pick just one pair?!

Turn Heads in Some Sexy Lace!

Lace is sexy, flirty & super feminine.  It is the perfect embellishment because all it takes is a hint of lace to turn an outfit from cute to sexy!  Nothing makes you feel more like a woman than a little bit of black lace.  Lace incorporated into any look is all it takes to give you that extra little bit of self confidence!  I am a big fan of lingerie inspired day wear.  Lace is a staple in most lingerie, so why not take its sexiness into the daytime.

Here are some of my favorite lace pieces this season...

BeBe Lace Dress

This dress is absolutely my favorite!  How can you not be the center of attention in this sexy lace overlay dress?!  This dress exudes sexy femininity while hugging all of your curves.  The nude and black color contrast is perfect.  It gives this dress such an intimate and glamorous feel.  Slip this dress on with a sky high pair of stilettos and you are ready to take on the night.  This dress is everything you would expect from BeBe, and that is why they are my go-to store for pretty much every occasion!

House of Harlow 1960 "Leslie" Booties

I love booties for the fall!  They are so fun and easy to transition from day wear into night wear.  These House of Harlow 1960 Booties are just so perfect for this fall seasons wardrobe.  They are amazing paired with jeans and even better with some leggings.  The black on black overlay gives such an elegant texture to these booties.  

Barlow Lace Stretch Dress

There is nothing I love more for the fall and winter than a nice mini-dress with long sleeves!  This Barlow dress is perfect for more formal occasions.  I love the see-through neckline and sleeves, these add the perfect amount of sexiness!  Pair this dress with a leopard platform pump and turn heads wherever you go!

Betsey Johnson "Kelly" Shopper

Who doesn't love the adorable Betsey Johnson?  I know I adore all of her work, especially her always fun accessories.  This bag is so perfect!  It is large enough to carry all of your lady essentials which is a major selling point for me.  The sequin covered lace design is amazing!  Always fun and always stylish!

Alice + Olivia Lace Leggings

I love leggings and these are so necessary this season!  The see-through lace running down the outside of the legs is fun and sexy.  These leggings are so flirty and easily transitional.  With a solid tunic and some fun booties, you just can't go wrong!

Tory Burch is all about taking simple classics and mixing them with loud, fun prints & colors.  This is exactly why I am such a fan of everything Tory Burch.  Tory Burch takes a simple shoe, for instance, and makes it so much fun.  This is why I chose this rain boot as my obsession of the week.  The best part is that fifteen percent of each purchase is being donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.  The timing could not be any better either.  With all of the rain us New Yorkers have been experiencing lately, this rain boot is a must!  Make a bold, feminine statement while supporting Breast Cancer!  It is time to give our long loved Burberry rain boots a little break and time to dance in the rain wearing these adorable hot pink & navy Tory Burch rain boots!

Cuddle Up With Some Fun Fur This Season!

I love fun furs for this season!  There are so many fun ways to wear and accessorize with fur and even only a hint of fur goes a long way.  The use of fur has always been such a huge debate in the fashion industry and today there are so many amazing faux fur pieces available.  I have shopped around and here are some of my favorite faux fur pieces for this season...

Alice + Olivia "Masha" Metallic Jacket

Alice + Olivia makes such great contemporary pieces.  I love that this jacket features metallic faux fur.  I think this jacket is perfect over a mini-dress for a night out.  The shawl like collar is big and fun with a hook and eye clasp to leave it open and flowing in the front.

Vena Cava for Aqua Vest

Vena Cava and Aqua are two of my personal favorites and together they just make amazing clothing.  I love the coloring of this vest and especially the black bow closure in the front.  This vest is great with a long sleeve top over leggings.  Add a sexy over the knee boot and you are more than ready to go!

Twelfth Street by Cynthia Vincent

This is definitely going to be one of my splurges for this fall.  I love the hint of military inspiration and even more so, the big and structured shoulders.  We have been watching shoulder pads grow bigger and bigger the last few months and I have been absolutely loving it.  This faux fur jacket creates such a fabulous upper body silhouette and is a great transitional piece for day to night wear. 

Gallery Leopard Faux Fur Jacket

I have been searching for a faux fur leopard jacket for quite awhile now.  In my opinion, it is hard to find one that is cute but not super tacky.  I think this Gallery jacket is perfect.  The leopard print is not too exaggerated and the slightly cinched waist insures you that your figure will not get lost somewhere underneath it.  

Nine West "Priska" Boots

I love these Nine West "Priska" boots.  The faux fur is not overdone and the color is so perfect for the fall.  I think these are amazing over some leggings or tights with a cute pair of shorts.

Save the Ta-Tas!

October is National Breast Cancer Month.  Although I have been lucky enough to have never had anyone in my family directly effected by breast cancer, I hold it very close to my heart.  I know people who have been diagnosed with breast cancer and people who have overcome breast cancer and there is nothing more empowering than hearing their stories.  I feel as a woman it is so important to be aware of your body and to be there to support all the fellow ladies of the world.  I enjoy being a big supporter, mainly of the Susan G. Komen Foundation & the American Cancer Society "Making Strides".  I try to participate in the Jones Beach walk on Long Island every year and have for many years now.  I always leave feeling empowered.  I'm sure it is all from the great energy of being surrounded by strong survivors and strong women.  I love being a woman & I know that one day no woman will have to worry about struggling with breast cancer. 


In honor of all the fabulous women in our world & Breast Cancer Awareness Month, here are some fabulous pink fashion finds...

David Yurman is one of my favorite jewelry designers & I will definitely be adding this limited edition Breast Cancer bracelet to my collection.  The sterling silver clasp against the pink rubber braiding is so feminine and strong...two things every woman should be!  I absolutely love this!

Scarves are hands down one of my favorite accessories for the fall and winter.  I am usually rarely seen without one.  This scarf is so stunning.  I love the contrasting colors and the hidden breast cancer ribbons throughout the pattern.  This cashmere/silk scarf is easy to incorporate into so many different looks, whether it is casual or dressy wear.  It is also comforting to know that a portion of each sale of this scarf goes to benefit the American Cancer Society.

If you are ready to take a fun fashion risk, this is the bag to do it with!  I love animal print and I am a sucker for anything leopard print.  I am all about nudes and animal prints this Fall and this bag uses both trends perfectly.  The big feminine bow is just so girlie and fun.  The calf hair is impeccable and the gold accents seal the deal.  I need a nice big bag for the many things I seem to carry along with me on a daily basis and this structured handbag is the perfect size.  In my opinion, this Valentino "Aphrodite" handbag evokes old school glamour with a modern twist.  I am obsessed!!

All About Shoes!

I love the beginning of a new season because that always means you get to switch up your shoe styles!  I absolutely love shoes, and my motto is the higher the better!  Nothing makes me feel more sexy than a nice pair of sky high heels.  There are so many fun trends for this fall season and here are some of my personal favorites.  Hope you enjoy!

Brian Atwood, Chain Over the Knee "Rachel" Boot

A fabulous over-the-knee boot is a necessity.  I love how easily they can transition from day to night.  Perfect for a day of shopping over a nice pair of skinny jeans & even better paired with a sexy mini-dress for a night out.  I love these Brian Atwood "Rachel" boots...they are to die for!  The chain detailing down the back gives these shoes a nice edgy, yet feminine feel.  However, their price tag isn't ideal for most of us.  

Here is a just as fabulous alternative... 

BeBe "Tatum" Over the Knee Boot

BeBe is one of my favorite stores and their shoes are just fantastic!  They are also much more reasonably priced, but just as sexy!  The laser cut detailing adds such a nice feminine touch too!

Steve Madden "Caryssa" Platform



The explosion of neutral colors this season is my favorite trend so far, especially nude.  I think it is just so elegant!  In my opinion, nude is the new black this season!  Steve Madden rarely disappoints when I'm in a crunch and need to pick up a quick pair of shoes.  I purchased these "Caryssa" platforms for a night out for my boyfriend's birthday and danced the night away without ever feeling the need to take a break.  They are beyond comfortable!

And if heels aren't your thing, here is a fabulous pair of nude flats that I just love!...

Kelsi Dagger "Lagos" Flat

If you need to give your feet a break, these Kelsi Dagger flats are perfect.  I absolutely love the gold embellishment, so chic!

Christian Louboutin Wool Peep-Toe Bootie

Military is again a popular trend this Fall and nobody makes a shoe sexier than Christian Louboutin.  Louboutins are my dream shoes & I hope to have a closet full of them one day ;)  I love this shoe with a nice pair of skinny jeans or even better with leggings.  Everything about this shoe from the army green color to the big gold buttons (and of course signature red sole) is absolutely perfect.

This Guess bootie follows the same trend with great button embellishment and is much more reasonably priced.

Jeffrey Campbell "Bandit" Suede Wedge Bootie

This Jeffrey Campbell covered wedge bootie is a staple in my wardrobe this fall.  I love the color block style.  It is such a great and comfortable everyday shoe with jeans or leggings.  I will most likely be living in these this season!

Welcome to My World!

Welcome to my Blog!  This is my first blog & I am really excited about it.  My name is Christie Rose and I'm a fashion obsessed Shopaholic!  Here's a little bit about my world. . .I am a Long Island girl about to graduate from the Fashion Institute of Technology in fabulous New York City.  I've loved every minute of my time there & feel blessed for everything I have acquired along the way.  I love everything about New York City & truly believe it is the best city in the world!  I've worked in all areas of retail from sales, styling, visual merchandising, management, and currently I am a buyer.  I have two younger sisters who I adore, the best parents in the world, amazing family & friends & the best teacup yorkshire terrier ever, Bella.  My boyfriend Joe is my inspiration and pushes me everyday to be great.  He gives me the confidence that I sometimes can't find within myself & makes me want to be a better person.

One of my favorite hobbies is shopping, it is my therapy.  Shoes are my addiction.  I think it is perfectly acceptable to invest in a fabulously filled closet.  I'm also a lover of art, music & all things beautiful.  I hope to bring to you my fabulous finds, my thoughts on life, and current trends & ideas along my journey.  I am open to all ideas & love people with beautiful minds & anyone I can learn something from.  I hope you find something you like within my blog and would love your feedback.
